I’m not really outdoorsy and I really hate bugs and such, but I feel like this is an experience I should have in my life. Ooh and I wouldnt mind making s’mores over a fire!

How I did it: A friend and I packed our bags, threw everything we thought we might need into the back of my car, and drove up to northern michigan. Lake Michigan is beautiful during the summer - I definitely recommend it! We stayed at a state park near the sand dunes right on the lake - it was gorgeous. Despite the challenges you'd assume two blonds with no prior camping experience might face (i.e. putting up a tent, starting a fire, etc.), it was a bl… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Get a tent or a tarp, a sleeping bag and pad, backpack if you want and pick a spot. Start a fire, warm up a can of chilly and settle back to watch the smoke rise up into the night. Take someone with you and its that much better. Read how I did it…
TragedyShadows is full of Christmas spirit!
How I did it: the only thing that wasnt totally "au naturale" about the camping trip we had was that we had entertainment (the festival), if we needed clothes and stuff we could buy them (and boy did the vendors have some amazing handmade hippie-tastic stuff), and there was a food booth (but the food was greasy and gross). other than that, we had to bring our own tent, sleeping bags, pillows, food, toilet paper (the porta pottys were horrifying), water… Read how I did it…

Nothing serious. For a night or a weekend. Who knew tents for 6 people were only like $100?
I’ve never been camping. My family is really not the outdoors type so I never went as a kid. I planned on going in college but my boyfriend was forced on many disastrous camping trips as a child and refused to come with me.
I really need to make some new friends who love camping and are willing to let me tag along until i get the hang of it.
Ingrids has to keep so many balls in the air
obviously I won’t go camping NOW, when half the country’s covered in snow, and the other half in water:-(((
But next summer…definitely!
(For this reason I’m moving this goal to the bottom of my list)
Not been since I was a kid and just think it’s a proper family thing to do, and if I ever have a fmaily, this is something I will aspire to!
I hope to go AT LEAST 3 times next year. Once in the spring to see the horseshoe crabs, once in the middle of summer to some cool mountains, and once in fall to see the leaves turn, maybe around my birthday.

So for tim and my last anniversary we went camping and went to tom’s farms. Camping was so much fun I LOVE it. I’m kinda planning another trip soonish for my dear friend who has never ever ever been camping.

I hate camping! I don’t enjoy sleeping on the ground, being dirty, not having running water, and going to the bathroom outside. NOT MY THING! I heard someone say once about black people and camping; they said that they didn’t understand what white people saw in acting like their homeless. I completely agree!
haha this brings back olddddd memories.
fun times with my junior girl scouts. hah.
Heartilly is contemplating more goals
As an end of semester celebration, a 22nd birthday celebration for a friend, and a test to see just how fit my friends and I had become over the past year, we decided to go on a 20km hike/campout at Wilson’s Promontory last week.
Originally the hike was meant to span over 35km, but because we were silly enough to take with us a 12 person tent which weighed well over 35kgs, we decided to cut the route short and hike for only 20kms.
Anyway, the trip was nothing short of amazing. We lived off trail mix for a large portion of the trip, got burgled by possums, waded through creeks, explored natural caves, and saw sights that we’ll never forget. So many memories, which is why I won’t write them here. A complete recollection of the trip could span pages.
So, camping. That’s another I can tick off the list, and will continue to do in the future. Waking up with nature on your doorstep is something everyone should experience at least once.
