Did my last long run (13 miles) for this one a couple of weeks ago. Finished in 2:44, about 12:45/mile (I think). I ran the first 8 miles, then did 10 min. run /2 min. walk intervals for the last 5. My average heart rate over the whole thing was 141… Which for me, is incredible. No doubt about it—I’m in great shape, cardiovascular wise. Unfortunately, it’s obvious that if I want to get my pace down to 9/10 min/mile I have to LOSE WEIGHT!

How I did it: Last August I moved into an apartment that really wasn't big enough to hold all my stuff, so I had to identify what I wanted to get rid of. Some of it is going to be put up on eBay, but others I decided to give to charity. After having grown up in Idaho and Utah, I'm familiar with Deseret Industries, which is kinda the Mormon equivalent of the Salvation Army or Good Will. I like what they do to help families that are dow… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Used MS Access to categorize & summarize my transactions for about six months. Then, based on how much I spend in each category, made a budget spreadsheet. Based on the spreadsheet, I set up automatic payments for my bills from each paycheck. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I think the gauze pressing on my arm hurts more than getting pricked did. They asked me if I'd had sex with anybody for money or drugs after 1977. What, if it happened before 1977 it doesn't count? what's so magical about 1977? (the answer is no, BTW...)I was worried that my iron would be too low, but the drop of my blood in the solution dropped like a rock, so that wasn't a problem (I wonder if it's more of a problem for wome… Read how I did it…

Asked a woman out that goes to my trainer. I think she’s about 28, so that might be a problem… Considering I’m almost 40. Going to have lunch with her hopefully this week, if we can set a time! We were supposed to do it last week, but both of us were pretty busy, so we’ll see how it goes.
Looks like I’m not really all that good at the contract work thing right now. Maybe later, maybe never. It’s too nerve wracking, that’s for sure.
